Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday night. The fighter was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on December 29th, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
The news of his discharge comes as the boxing community shared sympathy for the star in the following the devastating accident.
