The Canadian skeleton team were cleared of accusations that they deliberately manipulated a qualifying event for the Winter Olympics, which allegedly denied competitors from other nations a spot to secure their place.

A prominent American athlete Katie Uhlaender alleged the team from Canada of pulling four of its six entered athletes from a race in Lake Placid. “The current IBSF Rules allow member nations to withdraw athletes from an event at any time,” stated the governing body.
